Church, Medicine, the Heretic and the Witch
6.00pm 4th June 2026
ADAM Architecture, Winchester

Join Dr Gabriella Day – GP, homeopath, and founder of Three Realms Health – for a thought‑provoking exploration of how the histories of the Church and medicine intertwine, and how their legacies continue to shape our understanding of illness, healing, and spirituality today.
Drawing on her clinical experience and research, Gabriella examines how cultural beliefs around duty, suffering, and orthodoxy have influenced both religious thought and the evolution of medical practice. She traces the shift from traditional healing – often rooted in the knowledge of wise women – to a male‑dominated medical system, and considers how alternative interpretations of early Christian teachings were labelled heretical.
Through this lens, she explores the parallels between religious dogma and modern scientism, and the marginalisation of intuitive and feminine approaches to healing.
Gabriella is the author of In Defence of the Realm, Heart‑based Medicine, and Restitution, and continues to practise as a GP in Southampton. Her work focuses on integrating body, mind, and soul to support true balance in health.
Each tickets includes a complimentary wine, beer or soft drink.
